Full title is "The voyages and adventures of Captain Robert Boyle in several parts of the world : Intermixed with the story of Mrs. Villars, an English lady with whom he made his surprising escape from Barbary : likewise including the history of an Italian captive and the life of Don Pedro Aquilio, &c, Full of various and amazing turns of fortune." Attributed to William Rufus Chetwood in the Dictionary of National Biography; sometimes attributed to Daniel Defoe and to Benjamin Victor. This small novel has the name "Freeman Hall" on the front page and was found in a flour barrel with the other books in this donation which originated in Camden, Maine. There was a Freeman Hall (1800-1880), son of James and Mary Smith Hall born on Matinicus February 16, 1800. According to Matinicus records, Hall was "one of the outstanding figures in the life and development of the community. He held every office that it was possible to for the plantation to bestow upon him. He was one of the first assessors, the first town clerk, which office he held for twenty years. He was the first postmaster and a successful merchant." Physical Description: Leather cover, 203 pages
