Published transcription of excerpts of the diaries of Melvina Tibbetts Blaisdell and her husband Captain Francis (Frank) Adelbert Magune of Rockport for the years 1912 and 1913 during which they made two round trips to "The River" Platte in Argentina. The Magunes lived on Summer Street in Rockport. Frank Magune was the captain of several vessels built at the Carleton-Norwood shipyard in Rockport, including the vessels J.H. Bowers and the Edgar W. Murdock.
