Description

Cloth sails and architectural plans for the model clipper ship "Great Republic" built by Albert F. Bird of Camden between 1930 and 1940. Sails were made by his wife Grace Hudson Bird in 1939. Model presented by the Birds to the Camden library in 1997. The Great Republic (1853-1872) was built in Boston and was the largest clipper ever built.
