A collection of sailmaker's tools that belonged to Alanson B. Thomas. The tools include: 6 envelopes of French Reweaving Needles of various sizes; 2 metal punch needles; 6 wood fids (each six inches long); 2 objects with hooked ends, one of wood and one metal with wooden handle; three curved needles; 2 double-ended needles (each about 9 inches long); 1 double-ended needle (6 inches long); 1 needle (2 1/4 in. long); 1 spool of black thread (1/4 inch).
No dates associated with items, exept for the French Reweaving Needles from the Fabricon Company, which are likely from the 1950's. The punch needles have tags attached which read "Antique Punch Needle (for rug)" as though for sale or exhibit.Collection
