Photo of the 4-masted schooners "J. C. Strawbridge" (left) and "Clarence H. Venner" at the Holly M. Bean shipyard in Camden. The "Strawbridge" was built in Camden in 1901by Holly M. Bean and son Robert L. Bean. The vessel was 861 tons, 182.7 ft. long, 37 wide and x 17 ft depth. The "Clarence H. Venner" was built in 1890 by George Currier of Newburyport. The vessel measured 934 GT, 184.7 x 38 x 20.4 feet. The tugboat at the side of the "Strawbridge" is the "Summers N. Smith." The Bean yard had the only marine railway in Maine available through the winter.
