Photocopy of an article written for the Lewiston Journal and published Sept. 10-14, 1904 about the 42-year seafaring adventures of Captain Edward F. Stone of North Haven. Stone's adventures begin as a 13-year-old cook aboard the schooner "Kennawa" and continue through his experiences as a captain during the Civil War and his adventures in the coasting trade to 1893. His grandfather, Joseph Stone, came from Marblehead, Massachusetts in 1760 and was one of the first settlers of North Haven. Also included is 1 typed copy of the article without illustrations.Collection
