Scanned copy of a black and white photograph of the Camden Rexall Drug Store at the corner of Washington and Elm streets in Camden, Maine. Formerly Chandler's Pharmacy, and prior to that the Rose Brothers Pharmacy, the store became Camden Drug Co. in the 1930's. This photograph has a typewritten caption which reads: "Camden Drug Store. Corner of Elm St. and Mechanic St. in late 1940's." Just outside the door to the building there is an advertisement for movies playing at the Knox and Strand theatres in Rockland. Based on current releases, this photograph was taken in August of 1952.Collection
