"Amazon Quarterly" was a Lesbian feminist arts journal that explored the female sensibility in creative writing and the arts, including fiction, poetry, plays, essays, reviews, photography, and drawings.

"Amazon Quarterly," a production of Amazon Press, was originally based in Oakland, California, but later moved production to Somerville, Massachusetts. The magazine published from 1972 to 1975. The editors included but were not limited to Gina Covina, Laurel Galana, and Audre Lorde. Contributors included Rita Mae Brown, who published excerpts of "Rubyfruit Jungle" in the magazine prior to its publication as a book; Judy Grahn, who first published her poem "A Woman Is Talking To Death" in the magazine; Alix Dobkin; Elana (Nachman) Dykewomon; Audre Lorde; Adrienne Rich and Jane Rule.Publication Details
