Two in Twenty is a five episode soap opera that follows the complex lives of two lesbian households. With humor and suspense, the characters in this soap confront complicated issues such as child custody, lesbian parenting, AIDS, substance abuse, racism, coming out, monogamy, non-monogamy, crushes, lust, sex, bisexuality, and of course, therapy. (You name it – they confront it.)
And since no soap opera is complete without commercials, Two in Twenty contains original ads for fictitious products. These ads, rooted in feminist and lesbian humor, satirize the consumerism at the core of the daytime television experience.
