We are old. We are old women. We are women-loving women. We are Old Lesbians. We call ourselves old to reclaim the word which has been used disparagingly in our society for people over 60.
We are Old Lesbians inventing ways to live out our aging. We are Old Lesbians fighting our own internalized ageism and the ageism of a society which values women for the look of their bodies in a bathing suit or their ability to reproduce.
We do not represent or speak for the whole Old Lesbian community. We are a support group of white, mostly middle class Old Lesbians.
