"Connexions" was a quarterly women's journal of translations of distinctive women's writings published from a radical feminist perspective and geared towards building up international connections between women interested in contributing to a global women's movement. Each issue had a theme, such as "Women & Militarism;" "Women Organizing Against Violence;" "Women in Political Movements: Latin America & the Caribbean;" and "Women & Prostitution." See Issue #3, "Global Lesbianism", page 3 for the word "Lesbian" in several different languages. Context

"Connexions" was a quarterly women's magazine published by People's Translation Service out of Oakland, California from 1981 to 1995. The collective product of feminists of diverse nationalities and political perspectives committed to contributing to an international women's movement, it focused on community building from an internationalist perspective.
