The acclaimed Black Lesbian feminist poet and activist lived in Berlin for eight years, helping ignite the Afro-German movement and making lasting contributions to the German political and cultural scene before and after the fall of the Berlin Wall and German reunification. Movie shows her both on and offstage in her full irresistible persona. English and German/subtitles. English, Spanish, German, French. English subtitles only if someone is speaking a language other than English. Some of the extras have English subtitles, but the film is not closed captioned for the deaf and hard-of-hearing.
