Description

"The Journal of Homosexuality" is a peer-reviewed publication devoted to publishing a wide variety of disciplinary and interdisciplinary scholarship to foster a thorough understanding of the nuances of sexuality and gender. The chief aim of the journal is to publish thought-provoking scholarship by researchers, community activists, and scholars to continue shaping knowledge production in the arenas of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender (LGBT) studies and queer studies. Context

"The Journal of Homosexuality," established in 1976 and published on a monthly basis through to the present, is a peer-reviewed academic journal focused on research into sexual practices and gender roles. The founding editor was Charles Silverstein, followed by Paul De Cecco and the current editor is Dr. John Elia of San Fransisco State University. Originally published by Hawthorne Press, it has since been taken over by Taylor and Francis, which publishes it under its Routledge imprint.
