Context

"A Lesbian Position: The Newsletter" was a non-profit community resource which grew out of monthly Lesbian potlucks organized in the New Haven, Connecticut area by local Lesbians. The name reflected the newsletter's intention: to be "a" Lesbian position, not "the" authoritative community voice. It originated in 1982 and lasted until 1992. The original group of Lesbians responsible for its publication were: Linda Anderson, Ann Craig, Susan Hire, Nora Janeway, Kathy McGlynn, Meg Pechar, and Jane Voorhees.
