This Panel Discussion corresponded with the exhibit: Understanding and Appreciating Lesbian Lives through Craft and Art, a collaboration between Wanderground Lesbian Archive/Library and Fleet Library’s Archives and Special Collections. The exhibit was on view through November 30, 2024.
This talk featured Mev Miller, Instigator/Lesbrarian and founder of Wanderground, Gail Cohee, retired director of Brown University’s Sarah Doyle Women’s Center and RISD lecturer, and Leo Lovemore, Librarian for History, Society, and Culture at the Brown University Library, moderated by Fleet Library’s Instruction and Outreach Librarian in Special Collections, Angela DiVeglia. Panelists shared stories and histories behind the materials on exhibit from Wanderground Lesbian Archive/Library and related items from the Fleet Library collection, and discussed the ways these materials — from the past into the present — continue to play vital roles in building connections among Lesbian and queer peoples.Dimensions
