Judy Chicago (born July 20, 1939) is an American feminist artist, art educator, and writer known for her large collaborative art installation pieces about birth and creation images, which examine the role of women in history and culture. Through the Flower: My Struggle as A Woman Artist is the name of Judy Chicago's 1975 autobiography and Through the Flower is also that name of a 501(c)3 non-profit organization founded by Judy Chicago in 1977.
