"Trivia: A Journal of Ideas" took its name from the word "tri-vium" meaning crossroads, and once one of the names of the Triple Goddess, acknowledging the fact that women's voices are often considered trivial in patriarchal systems. It grew out of bi-weekly meetings of a group of women thinkers and writers in Western Massachusetts to discuss literature and philosophy through a feminist lens. Established in 1982, it developed into an internationally regarded print journal which endured for over a decade, its last issue coming out in 1995. It later evolved into "Trivia: Voices of Feminism," an online publication featuring the creative and critical thought of diverse women which was run by three co-editors in collaboration with an Editorial Collective and an Editorial Advisory Board. The most recent issue came out in Winter 2016.Create Date
