"WomaNews" was the name of two radical feminist newspapers, both of which were established in the 1970's and ran through the early 1990's. The first was "WomaNews: Gainesville's Feminist Newspaper," which was founded by a group of women seeking to provide a platform for feminist voices marginalised in the mainstream media. The second, "WomaNews: N.Y.C. Feminist Newspaper and Calendar of Events" was a monthly publication established in 1979. Both played key roles in the feminist movement, but struggled financially and with recurring disputes over editorial content, ceasing publication in the early 1990's.Publication Details
