Warren Shay Military Collection

Item Count443

The Warren-Shay Military Collection, located in South Central Pennsylvania, is a privately funded and owned collection of military artifacts spanning from World War 1 to the Vietnam War. The mission of this collection is dedicated to sharing and preserving the historical significance and memories of those who once honorably used these artifacts. The collection is named after two veterans who had a large influence on me growing up. My Great Grandfather, Henry Warren and my neighbor, Fred Shay. Both served during the World War II. The public has access to parts of the collection via scheduled exhibits. In its infant stages, it was presented at the Lebanon County Historical Society, Lebanon Valley College and Cedar Crest High School in Lebanon County, Pennsylvania. It has recently been presented at the Red Land Library, Lititz Library, and the Lititz Historical Foundation. Parts of it will be on exhibit again at the Lititz Historical Foundation on October 1st, 2022. Pieces are shared using this Facebook page as well as an Instagram account. I am currently digitally cataloging the collection to make it entirely public via the CatalogIt HUB. While over 65% is cataloged, what has been published can be viewed here. Cataloging began August 10th of this year, and is expected to be complete by the end of November with full publication to the HUB by January 1, 2023. Thank you for looking! Follow us on Facebook!
