Description

State Bank of New Richland. Material: metal. Size: 4 1/4" W. x 2 3/8" deep x 4 1/2" H. Description: black with marbled copper coloring; oblong with rounded corners and a black and copper hinged handle at top; black metal sign edged in copper riveted to front side and stamped: "State Bank of New Richland, New Richland, Minn."; small round opening on one end is etched: "For Bills Only; long horizontal slot at other end is stamped: "For Coins Only"; stamped on top: "M'f'r'd by Bankers Service Corp., New York Patent No. 776702, Patent No. 915676" and "61"; keyhole on bottom; hinged opening; object inside, but no key included.
