Material: ceramic. (a) Bowl. Size: 4" W. x 5" L. x 2 1/2" H. Description: white porcelain - handpainted copper exterior glaze - gold luster stripe around rim - rounded vessel - open top with rim to hold lid - one handle on each side - green backstamp: "Epiag, Royal, Made in Czechoslovakia" and signed in gold paint: "Roesler `24'". (b) Lid. Size: 2 1/2" diameter x 1 3/4" H. Description: white ceramic - copper colored painted exterior - gold luster trim - open loop pointed at center top.

Context

Handpainted in mid-1920s to look like copper by Lillian Roesler. Tray was purchased to display the tea set. 78.81.3-5
