1950s Boy Scout Canteen. (a) Canteen. Material: metal, plastic. Size: 5" diameter. Description: aluminum canteen; black plastic cap at top. (b) Canteen Cover. Material: textile, metal. Size: 5 1/4" diameter. Description: green cover; white label with blue print sewn on front: "Rethwill"; Boy Scouts logo on front; "Boy Scouts of America"; long strap attached to sides of cover; two metal snaps in front.

Dr. Wesley Rethwill Jr. was involved in Waseca Boy Scouts and Waseca Eagle Scouts. Canteen purchased from Dr. Rethwill's estate sale.
