Black Velvet Cape. Material: textile and beadwork. Size: 54" W. at hemline x 17 1/2" L. Description: black velvet with black soutache braid, a flat decorative design and black beadwork; lined with blue and white plaid silk. (See 1869)

Made by uncle of Emil V. Olson, father of Mrs. Marvin (Mildred Olson) Johnson. Mr. C.J. Bergquist was a tailor in Winthrop where Mrs. Johnson grew up.
