Description

Material: textile and metal. Size: 36" W. at hem x 21" L. Description: Navy blue wool cape with pointed collar. Overall design of black braid stitched into a geometric floral pattern. Each flower has a button center. 5 hook and eye closure. Wool is unevenly faded.

Context

Worn by Clara O. Johnson (mother of donor). Clara married Gerhardt O. Hatle in the early 1910s. They had 10 children; Orvin, Clair, Evelyn, Wesley, Herbert, Elaine, Edith, Avis, Rebecca & Ruth.
