Description

Size - 3 3/4 " W x 2 1/4 " H x 3/4 " D. Material - textile. Tea cozy made of maroon & pink yarn knitted in checks & puckered at bottom. Solid maroon on top flaps. On each side are 2 braided strands with a two-tone ball at the end. The strands were originally tied in a bow. Condition - balls are soiled.

Context

Made by donor's grandmother, Esther L. Lewis. Accessioned in 1969. The artifacts fits over the teapot lid (or spout?) to prevent loss of heat.
