Description

Brass Fragment. Material: metal. Size: 1 3/4" L. Description: brass; decorative fragment; oblong; two punched holes. Possibly the base of trigger guard of British firearm. Reworked into the beginnings of a pendant. Circa 1790-1810.

Context

Brass fragment used by Native Americans. Dr. Schirmer of Minnesota State University, Mankato visited 2 July 2013 and determined that this is a Native American trade item used for decoration for costumes.
