Material: metal. Size: 8 3/4" L. Description: steel - slender rod with curved loop end - straight grooved metal handle.

Context

Medical. Equipment from Waseca Memorial Hospital. Adenoid curette. A mirror is placed at the back of the throat to enable the adenoids to be seen, then the curette is placed in position. The mirror is extracted, then the curette is swept across the adenoids, cutting them away. Tool identifed as per Marion Keller December 2006. Marion Keller surgical nurse 1968, 1972-present.
