Rudolph and Priebe Millinery Store Diorama. Material: textile, paper, wood, plastic. Size: 9" x 13" x 8" H. The image shows a miniature model of a quaint hat shop, featuring a balsa wood counter with various intricately crafted hats adorned with artificial flowers and feathers, a plaster figure mannequin representing Jennie Rudolph Beckman, the proprietress of the hat shop, wearing a black skirt and white blouse standing behind the counter, and framed floral decorations hanging on the walls, all set against a background of earthy tones of a cardboard floor that resembles a wooden floor; two walls form the basis for the ca. 1916 millinery store replica; a small white mouse huddles in the corner; accompanying the diorama are two enlarged copies of original photos of the shop's interior as well as an exhibit card.
