Context

Lorraine & Larry Malchow opened the Ben Franklin store in Waseca in 1948 on the corner of 2nd Ave. NW & State St. N. The location of the store moved to the corner of 3rd Ave. NE & State St. N. in 1970. They had one daughter, Mrs. Joseph (Janis) Manthey. Note: This information does not clarify who wore the dress or whose wedding it was worn for. Janis Malchow Manthey is the correct age (married in 1964), but it is not clear whether she was the bridesmaid who wore this dress, or someone else wore it as her bridesmaid at her wedding.
