Size - 27 1/2 " L waistband, 18 1/2 " x 20 " oval at bottom, about 34 " L now (Aug 1999); Material - textile, metal. 12 fabric wrapped wire hoops are held together with 5 vertical rows of 1 " W muslin tape. Same tape waistband has buckle style closure. Tape is attached to hoops via metal staples. Condition - fabric has yellowed & is soiled; fabric wrapping is worn & brittle; does not open up to full length; 1 hoop & 1 vertical row of tape are broken.Context
