Description

Transfer Forceps and Holder. Material: metal. (a) Container. Size: 6" H. x 3 3/4" diameter. Description: stainless steel container, stamped on bottom: "Stainless Steel B-P Transfer Forceps Container 800-10 Made in U.S.A.", stamped on side of container: "Bard-Parker." (b) Container with spring. Size: 11" L. Description: stainless steel container fits inside; holes around sides of container; silver metal spring attached to bottom. (c ) Forceps. Size: 11 1/2" L. Description: steel forceps with black plastic disk around top of forceps; stamped on plastic: "Bard-Parker Made U.S. 800 Danbury. Conn."; stamped on handle: "Stainless Made in USA"; fine gripping teeth at tong ends.

Context

Medical. Equipment from Waseca Memorial Hospital. Transfer forceps used for moving objects. A sterile liquid would go into the container. Tool identifed as per Marion Keller December 2006. Marion Keller surgical nurse 1968, 1972-present.
