Forge. Material: metal, wood. Size: 26 1/2" W. x 35" L. x 32 1/4" H. Description: wooden box filled with cement; cement makes a gentle slope towards center; wooden box attached to a wood and metal stand; the wooden part of the stand has faded designs on it; under box and stand is a connector for a bellows along with a crank to allow air in or keep air out.

Context

Used by David Erwin in St. Mary Township circa 1879 and later by his son, Rolland.
