Description

Straw Boater/Skimmer Hat. Material: straw, leather, textile. Size: 13.5"x3.5". Description: tan, straw woven hat; black gross grain ribbon hat band encircles crown, bow on the left side; brown leather sweat band inside; brown ribbon attached to the sweat band to indicate the back of the hat; mesh lining inside crown; tag that appears to have been cut out; felt strips under sweat band; head size tag, 7 1/4 and product number 17081.

Context

This straw hat was worn by previous Waseca County Historical Society Director, Sheila Morris, during the annual Chautauqua Festival from 2001-2018.
