Material: paper, leather, metal. Size: 12 1/2" W. x 15" L. x 7" H. Description: red paper over heavy cardboard - oval shaped box and lid - leather strap attached to each side fastens over top with a metal buckle - printed on lid top: "Dobbs Fifth Avenue Hats, New York" on a black square background and subprinted: "For:" - pencilled on box: "Topper" and "Buds" - printed along lid edge: "Fifth Avenue New York Dobbs Fifth Avenue" - graphic printed around box lower edge: horse drawn carriage with a driver, three hat boxes tied to carriage top, crest on carriage door. Pink slip on bottom printed: "Dobbs & Co., Inc. Fifth Avenue at 55th Street, Send to E.T. Herbig Essex House, City."
