Scope and Content

Preparation page for Herter's Inc. Guide Book Page 89; black and white photo of a person next to a polar bear hide. Caption: "This huge polar bear was drawn in with whale blubber fumes. He has just been skinned out and ready to be folded and put on a board pack to pack back to the dog team. A polar bear hide is hard to fold as it freezes solid. Still beats trying to drag it. Note black clothing. If sun is out it absorbs the heat and is warmer." Number of sheets: 1
