Material: wood, metal. Size: 2 3/15" W. x 9 1/4" L. x 11/16" D. Description: silver tone metal rod hinged to a parallel metal clamp - natural wooden handle - engraved on rod: "Made in U.S.A." - handle and rod lift the clamp when squeezed. Hairpin stuck in apparatus may tighten handle.

Beauty Salon. Artifact was heated over a lamp & then used to curl a lady's hair.
