Description

U.S. Army - #1294 a,b,c is a set - (a) kit bottom; about 16'L (including handle) x 6 1/2'W x 4 5/8'H; silver tone (tin) metal pan; oval shape; has curved handle extending from one end on a hinge; (b) kit cover; 7 7/8'L x 6 1/2'W x 3/4'H; silver tone (tin) metal pan, oval shape; has a ring on one end for hanging; fit over pan or kit bottom (#1294a) & handle clamps the kit securely closed; (c) spoon/fork conbination that is stored inside the mess kit; spoon is 6'L x 1 7/8'W; fork is 5 5/8'L x 7/8'W; the two are riveted together & swivel; the fork fits over & into the spoon for storage; condition - metal is worn away in spots exposing dark areas, some rusty of flatware
