Description

Material: wood, metal. Size: 1" W. x 14" L. (9 1/2" blade). Description: natural wood handle - steel blade end curved to a point - handle secured to blade with metal rivet 2" from end.

Context

Note with knife: 'Made by Joe Madden ca 1904. He was from family of Mrs. James (Margaret) Reycraft (wife of donor). He was a farmer and probably did not know how to work steel to hold edge because it never stayed sharp.'
