Description

Leggings. Material: textile, metal. Size: 10" W. x 28" L. Description: green velvet with a vertical stripe of gold silk embroidery extending from top to bottom along outside leg - closure with four brass snaps - white cotton heel strap fits under boot arch - white cotton garter (sewn onto top) with silver metal adjuster, fits around knee.

Context

Waseca organization: Independent Order of Odd Fellows (I.O.O.F.), a secret society for the mutual aid and benefit of the members, originated in England in the 18th Century. Odd Fellows ceremonial robe and leggings. First Degree costume of Herald. Used by Waseca Comee Lodge #25.
