Description

Mary Schmidt Felske White Crepe, White and Silver Lace Trimmed Gown. Material: textile, metal. Size: 38" W. x 55" L. Description: white crepe, silver-gray and white lace trimmed neckline, wrists and bodice, two vertical tucks at each shoulder, overskirt gathered to waistline drops to a v-lined hem at knee, center front tucked sash with a self fabric flower at one end; floor length underskirt; back closure with metal hooks and eyes.

Worn by Mary Schmidt for her wedding to Emil Felske in Janesville May 2, 1917. See also photo of wedding couple 22.85.33. Displayed in 2012 as part of a Janesville Township Exhibit at the Waseca Museum.
