Description

Cider Mill. Material: wood, metal. Size: 20" x 32" x 42" Description: two wooden slatted baskets underneath.

Context

Apple juice was made by grinding the apples and pressing the pulp in slatted baskets. The cider mill had nothing to do with subsequent use of the liquid. Some apple growers only got a quart of vinegar out of 50 gallons of juice.
