Description

Blooming Grove Methodist Church Paperweight 1854. Material: glass, paper. Size: 2 5/8" W. x 4 1/8" L. x 1" H. Description: clear glass block; rounded edges; indented underside; ribbed border; inserted in bottom: black and white photo of Blooming Grove Methodist Church and Pastor Hoffman. There is staining around the edges of the photo. Back is chipped. See accession number 1272.

Context

There are two of these paperweights: This one is dated June 27 1974. The other copy (accession number 1272) dates 1898, made in New York. Hoffman Church by Dean 1854.
