Description

Hodgson Pipe. Material: wood, metal, shell. Size: 1 1/4" diameter x 2" H. bowl x 4 1/2" L. Description: highly polished rosewood bowl - two grooved bands encircle upper bowl - gold ornately patterned metal edging around top of bowl - black resin removable mouthpiece - gold ornately patterned metal band encircles wooden pipe stem where it attaches to the mouthpiece - stamped on side of stem: "Rosewood".

Context

Hodgson Collection. Prior to accessioning, the number 270 was printed in white ink on the bowl.
