May 8, 2007 tried to find out more information about the plaque. Contacted the Daily Globe in Worthington MN and they replied: "There is no one working at the Daily Globe anymore that would have knowledge of this trophy. V.M. Vance was the owner/publisher of the Daily Globe for many years but is long deceased. The Bluejay name would indicate that it was a trophy awarded through the local community college, probably with sponsorship provided by the Daily Globe. It must have been suspended in the late 1970s since there is no longer a track team or related events at the college." The Daily Globe suggested we contact Julie Stevenson at Minnesota West Community and Technical College in Worthington MN. Julie never replied to the emails.Cataloged By
