Description: gold plastic circular plaque; "Member Ball-Brand, Half Century Club, this store has sold Red Ball footwear for over sixty five years"; Red Ball logo in center; border print: "Good enough will not do - Ball-Brand must be best"; name plate on base front: "Werdin and Schmidt, Janesville, Minn."; black metal stand on back.

Janesville business: Werdin and Schmidt Clothing, Furnishings & Shoes. Plaque displayed at the Werdin and Schmidt store. Werdin and Schmidt were located in the Miner Building (Heritage House) and went out of business in 1968. The donors are the daughters of the fathers that owned Werdin and Schmidt.
