Description

Paving Lake Avenue, Men and Machine. Material: paper. Size: 3 1/2" x 5 1/2". Description: black and white postcard photograph; "30 Thousand Dollar Paving Underway" is written on front. Lake Avenue, 1910., now 3rd Avenue N.E. Bricks are lining the street, an old tractor is there and a crew of men, framing and laying the brick. Postcard is postmarked June 7, 1910, addressed to Mr. Ray Clayton in San Francisco, Cal. Note written by F. J. Frank. Two cent stamp.

Context

yellowing. Paving on Lake Avenue. Lake Avenue became 3rd Avenue April 1928.
