Context

Lynn Strunk quote from Judy Joecks book Stagecoaches across Waseca County and Neighboring Counties. "Our place had a very old barn, and in approximately 1986, Bruce and I decided it should be taken down. The Waldorf Fire Department came out and did a controlled burn. When people saw the smoke, they drove over to see where the first was, and they told use we were burning a "historical site." This was the first we knew about our place being a former stagecoach stop. The old part of the house (NW corner) sits on big rocks. I learned that, since it was a steep climb to the house from the road, the driveway was put in to the left so the stage could make it up the hill. The house had been added on to before we bought it in 1984."
