Waseca Northwestern Bell Telephone Company Operators. 5" x 7" black and white. Mrs. Joyce Begeman, Mrs. LeRoy Olson, Mrs. Lawrence Behsman. "These women are checking telephone subscribers' ability to dial properly. This is preparatory to the conversion of the Waseca exchange to DDD (direct distance dialing) at 2 a.m. Sunday morning. They call the subscriber, explain the method of dialing and then ask them to dial back a certain number. The paper tape shown back of Mrs. Olson records, through printed dots, whether or not the subscriber has dialed correctly."Context
