Steele County District #53 School Building. Material: paper. Size: 2 1/2" x 3 1/2". Description: black and white photo showing front of a rural school in Steele County located one mile east of the Waseca County line; identified as the D. D. Hanson School or District #53; many Waseca County children attended this school until its closing in about 1960.

Context

All of the children from the Waseca County families of Ralph and Helen Haug, Harold and Marjorie Hanson and Vernon and Agnes Blowers attended this school. The school closed in about 1960 and was remodeled into a family residence.
