Thomas Kilcawley, sometime between his marriage in 1857 and the 1860 St. Louis, Missouri census, changed his name from Kilcawley to Cawley. Thomas Cawley was the son of Patrick Kilcawley and Mary (Cuffee) Kilcawley; born Jan. 1, 1833 in County Sligo, Ireland; married Margaret Madden June 3, 1857, in St. Louis, MO; died Aug. 15, 1897, buried at Calvary Cemetery, Waseca, Minn.Context
